Long time, no post

Can't even believe how long it has been since I've updated this post! We have been through a lot since February when I last posted. Miss Emma is now almost 8 months old and has been through so much in her short life. In April she was diagnosed with a condition called craniosynostosis in which the soft spot on top of her head closed too early. To correct the condition they had to do surgery to remove a fairly large portion of her skull to allow her brain to grow. Her surgery was in May and she has been doing wonderfully since then. She started crawling at 6months and has already said her first word-dada. She is working on getting her first tooth in which has meant some sleepless nights for mom. Overall though she is the happiest baby ever. She wakes up with a smile on her face and is almost always smiling.

Grace is a great big sister, playing with her and loving on her all the time. We've had some attitude issues since Emma got here and her surgery has caused her to have so much attention on her, but I am hoping that this will go away once Emma gets more independent. She started Pre-K this year and is loving it and doing so well. We will be going with her to her first field trip of the year to the local apple orchard and she is so excited!

Here are some pics from the last six months.

Introducing Emma Jo Weber

We would like to introduce you to our new arrival, Miss Emma Jo Weber. She joined us on Jan 28, 2010 at 12:30 am. She weighed 6 lb, 9.7 oz and was 19.5 inches long. She's been a very good baby, doesn't cry much. The only complaint mom has is that she won't sleep in her bed at night! Makes for some long nights for mom sleeping in the recliner! She looks a lot like Grace did when she was born so we are eager to see if the resemblence continues as she grows. Enjoy some pics from her first fews days with us!

31 weeks along

Long time no post. Been so busy with little busy body Grace, being very prego and work that I haven't really had time to update this thing. Not even really sure anyone reads it, but here goes. Went to another ultrasound this week and everything looks good. Baby girl is about 3 pounds and growing well. She is already head down, seemingly as ready as me to be done with this pregnancy! Hard to believe that we only have 9 weeks left (hopefully sooner). Here's a couple of new pics.

Another baby update

Well last Saturday we had out second ultrasound and found out everything is going well with the baby. We also found out we are having another girl! Gracie is very excited to have a sister coming and keeps talking about how she will help feed her and take care of her. I'm sure that will last for a while until Emma (the name we chose for our new little one) gets big enough to start getting into Grace's things! They also found, unfortunately that I have marginal placenta previa. Spoke to the dr today and she is not concerned about it. She says in cases like mine they cure themselves 99% of the time. We will have another sonogram at 28 weeks to be sure that it is doing that. In the meantime here are some pics of our new baby girl and my growing belly!

Sad times

We have had very sad times in the Weber family. On August 26, 2009 we lost our beloved Ann. She was a wife, mother, mother in law, friend and more to many people. We were amazed and blessed with the outpouring of love we were shown after she passed. The many cards, thoughts, prayers, food, memorials received simply astounded us. She was a wonderful woman loved by all who knew her. We love and miss you Ann!

Baby update

So just an update on the baby. We had our first sonogram today and got to see the baby (jelly bean) and see it's heartbeat. Everything looks good. We are actually a week further along than we thought, so they moved the due date up to Jan 27th. Here are the sonogram pics that they sent home with us. Grace wasn't quite sure what to think of the whole thing I think. She is hoping for a baby sister now, so we will just have to wait a couple of months to see what we are having. The sonogram tech said she recommends waiting until 20 weeks to find out, just so you can really get a good chance to see, as sometimes you can't tell at 16 weeks, which is when some people try to find out. So we are 8 weeks along now and will be able to see in 12 weeks what we're having!

Adding to the clan

We are so excited that we are expecting our second child. We just found out a couple of weeks ago and were very shocked, but are very excited. Grace goes back and forth between wanting a brother or a sister. Steve of course is hoping for a boy and I am just happy that we are finally having one. We weren't trying so we were very surprised, but God has his own plans and things are always done in His time. Please keep us in your prayers that we have a healthy pregnancy and baby. We also need prayers for both our jobs. I am losing some of my kiddos to preschool this year :(. Very sad, but very excited for them to start this new chapter in their lives. Steve's company is also finishing up their merger and we are not sure about his job situation once it is completed. We hope all is well for you.
